KAU-oz+ is a mobile application developed by Alwyn Lombaard (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use KAU-oz+. Our app allows users to view their Kinesis holdings and market data for KAU (gold), KAG (silver) and other currencies using the Kinesis API.
Kinesis API Keys: You provide your Kinesis public and private API keys to authenticate with the Kinesis API.
Holdings Data: We retrieve and display your KAU, KAG and other currency holdings, including amounts allocated on the Kinesis exchange.
Market Data: We fetch market snapshots (e.g., bid/ask prices, daily change, volume) and OHLC data for KAU, KAG and other currencies in USD, GBP, and EUR.
Device Information: We may collect device information (e.g., device ID, OS version) for crash reporting or analytics, if enabled.
API keys are used solely to authenticate requests to the Kinesis API and retrieve your holdings and market data.
Holdings and market data are displayed within the app for your convenience.
Device information, if collected, is used to improve app performance and fix bugs.
Your Kinesis public key is stored in the app’s preferences, and your private key is stored securely using platform-specific secure storage (e.g., iOS Keychain, Android Keystore).
Holdings and market data are temporarily cached on your device for display and are removed when you close the app.
We use HTTPS to securely transmit data between the app and the Kinesis API.
We do not share your data with third parties, except as required to communicate with the Kinesis API to retrieve your holdings and market data.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can remove it by deleting the app.
We do not store your data on our servers, so there is no account to delete or data to request.
KAU-oz+ is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, if significant, through the app or our website.
